Hello world!

Welcome!

I’ve been mulling over the idea of starting a blog for several months now. But these last 2 weeks, the idea has come to mind at the weirdest of times. So here I am.  I will never claim to be a great writer. EVER. But I will promise to be honest, and maybe too honest at times. But what’s a blog if you’re not real, right?

That being said, let me introduce myself. I am Tiffany Hausman; Mom, bonus Mom, soon-to-be wife, daughter, friend. I’ve been in a serious relationship with Nathan, the greatest guy I’ve ever known besides my daddy and we’re finally making this thing legal in just a few weeks!  We each have sole-custody of our two kids, respectively.  I have two bio-kids, Shelby (11) and Remi (8) and two bonus sons, Myles (17) and Cameron (14).

I like to call myself a Chaos Coordinator because our lives are almost always chaos that has to be organized… which is a lot like herding cats.  We are co-parenting with two other bio-parents and managing schedules for visitation, football, basketball, baseball, youth groups, mission trips, band, and about 100 other activities. Did I mention we have two teenage boys? I don’t know if you have experience with those or not, but they’re not the most organized humans.

Now that you know a little more about me, I want to share with you my plans for this blog. My plan is to discuss our wins, failures, and how we cope in general as a blended family but something I know about plans is that they often are re-routed into something unforeseen.  But I know that it’s my goal to use this as a platform to help others along the way.  My family is not even close to perfect but we’re perfectly us.  I am a Christian so don’t be surprised if I mention God, Jesus, St. Mary, and prayers. However, I want this to be relatable to all people, not just believers; so I hope you’ll stick with me through the God stuff.

Summers in our house are particularly challenging with the kids’ busy schedules and time away at the other parents’ homes. This year we’re throwing in a wedding on top of everything else.  We just got back from our family vacation. Our oldest two have basketball camp this week. Myles heads off to Boys State tomorrow for a week and next week through the weekend it’s football camp for both older boys. Then they’re off to their mom’s for 2 solid weeks. We had about 10 days with the boys before they’re not home for 6 weeks (between visitation and mission trip). This has always been a challenge for us as a family. It’s hard on us parents and it’s hard on the two younger kids who are here all summer without their brothers. So prayers/thoughts for us all over the next 2 months, we’re going to need it.

Choose Kind,

Tiff
